Chips: 10,807 | | | Luxor, Las Vegas $1000 prototype!!! You will not find this chip on the Nevada Gaming Commission Approval list! Nor will you find it in-use at the Luxor, even before it was bought by MGM/Mirage. This is a prototype, apparently made by Bud Jones and submitted to the Luxor for consideration. I have no idea why the answer was "No", nor do I know how many of these were made. There seems to be two different versions of this prototype. They look identical, except the gold foil hot-stamp is done as a reflective surface or in a matte finish. Scanning will not show the difference, so I am only showing one. This one is the matte version.
The inserts are non-reactive to UV, but the inlay lights up blue!
I think the few of these floating around are getting about $50.
These are locked into my collection. Thanks for looking.

As I recall, I made a deal with one of those sellers, but not for the chips being offered on eBay. Again, as I recall, one of those sellers had offered the prototypes to thechipboard.com readers before they went on eBay.
I've looked back (into the Archives of thechipboard.com) and saw three names selling these, I just can't be sure which one sold them to me.
