Yet another Chip Breakdown/Tournament Question

So I just picked up a 1200 Speak Easy set and of course, I need to ask another question. I realize I keep posting on this forum, but given the expertise, can you blame me?

My set has the following breakdown:

T25 - 510
T100 - 290
T500 - 105
T1000 - 140
T5000 - 155

For my 10k tourney (no rebuys) starting stacks are usually 12/12/7/5. Obviously, given the number of T500, I can't do that, but I could just give 5 T500 to each and 6 T1000 for a 12/12/5/6 stacks. Would that work with chip-ups etc?

Would it be possible to hold a 20 person deep stack tourney with 20k starting stacks, and antes as follows with this set? I guess starting stacks with the limitations of this set would have to be 12/12/5/6/2 ?

1st Level - 25 - 50
2nd Level - 50 - 100
3rd Level - 100 - 200
4th Level 25 100 - 200
5th Level 50 200 - 400
6th Level 75 300 - 600
7th Level 100 400 - 800
8th Level 200 600 - 1,200
9th Level 300 800 - 1,600
10th Level 300 1,000 - 2,000
11th Level 500 1,500 - 3,000
12th Level 500 2,000 - 4,000
13th Level 1,000 3,000 - 6,000
14th Level 1,000 4,000 - 8,000
15th Level 2,000 6,000 - 12,000
16th Level 3,000 8,000 - 16,000
17th Level 3,000 10,000 - 20,000
18th Level 5,000 15,000 - 30,000

Thanks!

JD

Re: Yet another Chip Breakdown/Tournament Question

I usually do an 8/8/6/6 or an 8/8/4/7 starting stacks. That would make it go a lot farther for you I think.

With both 500 and 1K chips, you never need more than four 50s per player. You can actually get by with two each.

I also use 12/12/7/5 for 10K stacks, but 12/12/5/6 also works just fine (and probably better, since less T500 chips are on the table). 12/12/5/6/2 will also work for 20K starting stacks.

Use only the T5000 chips for color-ups with either tourney (make change from the biggest stack, and use the change to color-up the other players).

Yes use $1000s or $5000s to do the chip ups...

Adding 2 $5000 works also
