3/6 How many racks of $3's would I need (also at least 1 per?). I do like the idea of a rack of ones and a barrel of fives.

Nooooo don't do a 1 chip/2 chip game. They are boring and the pots are small.
2/4 and 3/6 are perfect $1 chip games and create insane pots and action when played with only $1 chips. Do this if you can afford to. If not, and you *must*

go the 1/2 chip route then a rack of each is going to be more than enough and could probably get by with half a rack of each in a crunch.
