Chips: 1,037 | | | T25,000 Starting Stacks (Opinions Wanted) okay, i'll be ordering my T25,000 set in the relatively near future. no, i don't need it to be versatile (i've got my tr kings for my T1,000 and T2,500 set, my two face poker solid hotstamps in production for my T5,000 and T10,000 set) but would consider using this for T50,000 as well.
it will be for a 10-player tourney with no re-buys/add-ons and this is the blind structure that will be used:
100/200
200/400
300/600
400/800
500/1000
600/1200
800/1600
1000/2000
1200/2400
1500/3000
2000/4000
2500/5000
3000/6000
4000/8000
5000/10000
6000/12000
8000/16000
10000/20000
what are your thoughts on starting stacks for a T25,000 tourney? i'll just add 5 x T5,000 to make it T50,000 if i decide to go that route. i was thinking this:
T100 x 10
T500 x 8
T1,000 x 5
T5,000 x 3
but i don't know if it is such a good idea to have so many T500s in play...???

You probably won't find the need for so many 5000's in play so early any way. By the time they are truly needed, a few people will have busted and you will have probably colored up also. |

You get more out of your chips (the 100, 1000, and 5000 are all heavily used) than you do with a 25-1000 set, where the 25 chips are not very heavily used and neither are the 500s. Also I know players have an easier time counting chips when there are no 25s involved. Those are the hardest to count. |

| Nothing at all. Another poster mentioned that the chips are easier to count when stacked at the higher denoms than with T25s. I guess that would be a reason to use the larger denoms. Maybe I just have an aversion to big numbers. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
