| Re: Help with T10000, 500 Chip Breakdown IMHO, 8 is the minimum number of T25 chips you can start with. I've played tourneys with 4 T25 chips and it is absurd. You are constantly running out of those chips and making change from whoever won the last pot with all of the T25 chips. I don't think you can do this with just 500 chips. 600 is doable, but not 500.
Starting stacks of 8/8/6/6 = 28 chips x 10 players = 280 chips x 2 = 560 chips. Then you have 40 chips for coloring up. Generally, you will need to color up the T25s and T100s, which equals 1000 chips per player, which means you will need up to 20 more T1000 chips. Then you could make the other 20 another color for a T5000 chip or just add another 20 T1000 chips. Or make all 40 T5000, which will allow you to do some T20,000 tourneys (although not with 20 people as you won't have enough chips to color up the T25s an T100s, but you could play an 18 player tourney for T20000).
Other option is 8/8/4/2/1 = 23 chips x 20 = 460 with 40 chips left over for color up. I've used this breakdown before, and it works. My preferece is for 8/8/6/6. But if you're budget is limited and you can't go more than 500, then this will work for you. |
