Advice Needed on 1000 Chip FLEXIBLE Tourney Set

I'm considering a 1000 Chip Tourney set and would like some advice on the breakdown to provide a great deal of flexibility. Most realistically I'd like the set to very comfortably support 20 people with the ability to stretch it to 30 if needed. I will start all my tourneys at 25/50 blinds using 25-5000 denoms. The chip amount will depend on the # of players. I plan on allowing rebuys and will do color ups according to what is available chip wise. But mainly I want to use alot of the chips, so if I only have 20 people, then I'd like to use a few more chips than if I had 30...

I am currently thinking something like this. I have thought about lowering the 100s or 500s by 20 and adding that to the 5000s, but I'm not sure. I'd like to keep increments of 20 so they look purdy in racks.

25 = 240
100 = 300
500 = 200
1000 = 200
5000 = 60

Advice Please!

Re: Advice Needed on 1000 Chip FLEXIBLE Tourney Set

first, you need to decide on your starting stacks, which means you need to decide on how much everyone will start with. T5000? T10,000?

if you're doing T5000, you could use more T100 chips.... if T10000, you wouldn't.

Re: Advice Needed on 1000 Chip FLEXIBLE Tourney Set

Twenty player allocated T30,000 per player

12xT25
12xT100
3xT500
7xT1000
4xT5000

240 greens
240 blacks
60 purples
140 oranges
120 grays

Thirty player T20,000 allocated per player

8xT25
8xT100
4xT500
7xT1000
2xT5000

240 greens
240 blacks
120 purples
210 oranges
60 grays

So to run both you would need:

240 green
240 black
120 purple
210 orange
120 grey

Use your remaining chips to even out your orange and get the rest grey.

240 green, 240 black, 120 purple, 220 orange, 180 grey.

The colors I used were merely for organizational purposes. Also, I tend to believe T1000 chips are much more important than T500 chips. I allocated the number of chips per player, so that T30,000 or T20,000 could represent T10,000 with two rebuys, T5000 with a rebuy and double addon, etc. Either way you will have plenty of chips to work with in this setup and have enough to run really deepstack freezeouts if you choose.
