This is a dilemma I'm facing. The donkey sets (tourney and cash) get used at "work" (campus) and stay there, so that's easy. The problem is between the Samurai and Speakeasy sets. They have almost the same breakdown, and although I love my Sam's and can't imagine parting with them, I don't see them getting a lot of use in the near future...

Well, I'll keep using the Sam's for T50,000 HORSE and/or NLHE (for a "Tournament of Champions"), since the non-denom comes in handy as a 10,000 at the end. But the Speakeasy's are definitely preferred for T5,000-T10,000 tourneys, and work for a T20,000 NLHE with 100 as the smallest, or a T20,000 HORSE structure I'm thinking of trying.

So many options, not enough poker nights...

Re: Starting T-denom

nice thread.
Actually it depends on the set.
With my casino chips you have to start with 5.
But my choice is 25.

You have a T50,000 HORSE tournament? Wow! If I ever come to Toronto, I'm crashing your game. Thought I'd give you fair warning.

Matty and I alternate hosting games. So far, we only play HORSE tourneys about once very 6 months (HORSE cash games are more frequent), but I think his new "Argyles" (39 & 44 mm ASM) set is structured around a T50,000 with HORSE in mind...

You're definitely welcome to join us!

My list of things to do before I die has been updated:

- visit hockey hall of fame
- play St. Andrews
- drink in Don Cherry's bar
- watch a Canucks playoff game
- play poker in Toronto with some of the SICKEST custom chips the world has ever seen (that goes for both Imthatguy and jdunford)

Well, you could do 3 of those things in one trip!
(4 if the Leafs and Canucks met in a Stanley Cup final... but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you)
