Cash game set

We normally play $1/2 but there has been some talk of running a second table of .25/.50 for those who don't want to higher stakes.

I will be picking up some of the BCC chips via Mike's T-Mold offering and will need to support table (max 16 player)

175 .25 Pink Chip
350 $1 White chip
50 $2 Yellow Chip
200 $5 Red Chip
25 $20 one of the green chips

.25/50 NL 8 player ($50 max)

Per Player - Table

20 .25 - 160
15 $1 - 120
6 $5 - 48

$1/$2 NL 8 players (no max)

25 $1 - 200
5 $2 - 40
14 $5 - 112
Anything over $100 will get $20 where possible

800 chips for 2 tables. Do the breakdowns look good? Should I do a .50 chip as well to get the number of .25 chips down and add more $1? Say 50 .25 and 75 .50 chips and use the other 50 for $1 or $2? Is using a $10 useful?

Thanks in advance

greg

Re: Cash game set

I don't see any reason for a $2 chip, especially since BCC charges by the inlay. I'd just get some more $5's and $20's.

Re: Cash game set

I think the $2 is somewhat useless as well but when I have played with one I liked it. I was going to go with the 5 inlays for $300 deal that BCC has for ChipTalk members. Plus I like the yellow chip in the offering and am trying to find a way to use it in a cash game set, this it will work as a $20?

.25
$1
$2
$5
$20

I don't see a need for a $100 chip. I originally planned on having a NCV chip to use as a .25 or $2 chip but the fact that we have grown to 2 tables and blinds eliminates that option.

Re: Cash game set

Greg:

I would recommend five chip colors: 0.25, 1, 5, 20, 100.

.25/.50 game starting stack (8 players)
16 x .25 + 16 x 1 + 6 x 5 = $50

130 x 0.25
130 x 1
100 x 5 (includes 5 rebuys)
20 x 20 (for another 8 rebuys)
(total 380 chips)

1/2 game starting stack (8 players)
15 x 1 + 17 x 5 + 5 x 20 = $200

120 x 1
140 x 5
120 x 20 (includes 8 rebuys)
40 x 100 (for another 20 rebuys)
(total 420 chips)

If the .25/.50 table needs more than 13 rebuys, they would be available, since it's unlikely you'd ever really need 28 rebuys of $200 at the 1/2 table.

So my total recommendation is:

130 x 25¢
250 x $1
240 x $5
140 x $20
40 x $100
------------
800 chips total

Perhaps you would use yellow for your $20 and black for $100, or use green for $20 and yellow or another color you like for $100.

Adjust as desired. If you want more $1 chips, you could reduce the number of $20 chips. For example, 120/320/240/80/40.

But I think you will really benefit from quite a number of $20 chips and $100 chips at your disposal.
