So many denoms ... enough chips?

I am receiving a set of chips ... 500 chips and 50 plaques. The denominations are as stated below ...

Chips
--------
25c
50c
$1
$5
$25
$100
$500
$1000
$5000

Plaques
------------
$25K
$100K

You may have figured out that these are the result of the SunFly competition (thank you CTr's! ). Problem is... with so many denominations, which of course, I have to have some of each ... what kind of effective set(s) could I put together? I am guessing a small cash and small tournament set ... but .. how small?

I am willing to purchase some chips to fill in gaps as needed but would like the bulk of the sets to be from the awarded 550 chips and plaques.

I have been reading through a lot of these posts and to be honest ... it's like reading some sort of AstroPhysics thesis! So I REALLY need to be spoon-fed here.

any ... ANY help is GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks!
Gary

Re: So many denoms ... enough chips?

Honestly, with such a nice design you made, I would suck it up and buy another 500...you'd still be getting 1000 chips at half price!

I know ... (BAD Gary ... BAD Gary) ... trying to budget-conscious though. (UNconscious is so much more fun).

Maybe get enough for one set now and fill the other in later ... ???

Re: So many denoms ... enough chips?

If you want cash set and tourney set to be separate, I think it's hard to get by with less than 700 chips.

Cash: 370 chips
120 x 25c
150 x $1
100 x $5

Tourney: 330 chips
80 x T25
100 x T100
60 x T500
70 x T1000
20 x T5000

That allows you to play 25c/25c, 25c/50c, 50c/1, and maybe 1/2 cash games and do a 10-player T10,000 sit-n-go with 8/8/6/6 starting stacks and one rebuy or add-on of 2 x T5000 per player. Obviously you can also do smaller tourneys.

Re: So many denoms ... enough chips?

Congratulations on your win. It was a long competition. Your chips came out looking great. As far as the denominations go, I agree with some, you might have to buy some more of your own chips to make it a true playable set. Cash and Tourney.

Order the tourney set now, and just a small sample of the lower ones until you can afford it.
