Chips: 40 | | | Re: Breakdown for 500 chipset with 5 denom needed 25 : 100
100: 150
500: 100
1,000 : 100
5,000 : 50
Stacks of (T5k):
12 x 25
12 x 100
7 x 500
Depends if you play T5k or 10k or more (obviously just add 5k more to the starting stacks) if you play rebuy tournaments etc, if you like to have chips by the 100, if you like lots of chips on the table, if the player numbers will increase from 8 max at any point - but that's a good starting point for rebuy tournies, just alter to what your preference is. |

$100 x 200
$500 x 100
$1000 x 25
$5000 x 25

Chips: 1,020 | | | Re: Breakdown for 500 chipset with 5 denom needed Mike is close, but I think you need more 1000s.
For 10 player T10,000:
Starting stacks: 8/13/7/5
Total needed: 80 25s, 150 100s, 100 500s, 50 1000s = 390 chips.
Add 10 5000s and you get 400 chips. The last 100 is gravy. Maybe
100 25s
200 100s
100 500s
75 1000s
25 5000s |

25 5000s | Yeah, that's more like it. thanks a lot!
I will order 25 extras, so I got some more space.
I'd like to get a few more 5k chips, so I'm thinking about
100
175
100
75
50
because we usually have some more rebuys than normal.
(Also also for the collector in me)
would that work too?

Just threw it together...lemme know if you find errors/problems...
All you need to do is set your number of players, your starting stacks (based on your blind schedule), and whether you want colorups (and if so, how you want them done). Add traders if you want. Auto rounds up to even racks of 20 for you...

Chips: 3,968 | | | Re: Breakdown for 500 chipset with 5 denom needed I used your starting players (6-8 ), Jose Rijo's starting stack (8/13/7/5), and assumed a 40% rebuy (that's 4 players rebuying) -- and used full rebuys of T10000, as opposed to some lower amount. I also used a 40%-60% color-up ratio (I don't like 100% colorups...it puts extra chips on the table that are likely going to be removed later anyway). I also assumed your final stacks would be comprised of 15% T500's, 50% T1000's and 35% T5000's.
Using those assumptions, you could get by with 360 chips (I don't think ASM has any "minimum per denom" rule):
T25 x 80
T100 x 120
T500 x 80
T1000 x 60
T5000 x 20
IIRC, though, you have to order at leat 500 chips to get 5 colors. The above is the a pretty efficient breakdown to run a 8 person tournament (a nice way of saying you don't have a lot of flexibility)... you might want to figure a 10-player set so you are ready for expansion. That'll take you to 420 chips "efficiently":
T25 x 80
T100 x 140
T500 x 100
T1000 x 80
T5000 x 20
