What do you think about this breakdown for BCC Royal's?

Just got my sample set today and these are sweet. Thinking about this:

170 - 25's
250 - 100's
205 - 500's
50 - 1000's
25 - 5000's

starting 20K stack:
20 - 25's
25 - 100's
24 - 500's
5 - 1000's

70 chips in a starting stack? Wow seems like overkill to me, would just slow the game down way to much.

Re: What do you think about this breakdown for BCC Royal's?

Could also consider 16/16/16/5/1 as starting stacks for T20,000. That would be a more manageable 54 chips per person.

You could also do 16/16/16/10 as a starting stack if you have more T1000s.

The following set could accomplish either of those, still using a total of 700 chips (the chip set size in your opening post):

160 x T25
200 x T100
200 x T500
100 x T1000
40 x T5000

That would allow you to cleanly color up the T25s, then T100s, then T500s (if desired).

It would also allow you to have a table of 10 players. (The set in your opening post would work for 8 players max if opening stacks are all identical.)

Re: What do you think about this breakdown for BCC Royal's?

I usually don't like to have more than 30-35 chips in a starting stack or have to carry around a large set. So to be efficient for a T20k setup for 10 players with no re-buys I'd go with:

80 x 25
100 x 100
80 x 500
80 x 1000
20 x 5000

8/8/6/6/2

Total of 360 chips.
Leaves you with enough to color up and $$$ left over to buy another set

Re: What do you think about this breakdown for BCC Royal's?

Okay, what about...

160 - 25's
200 - 100's
160 - 500's
100 - 1000's
20 - 5000's

For a 10 player T20,000

16 - 25
16 - 100
16 - 500
10 - 1000

The only thing I don't know about is having about 1/6 of your chip stack be worth half of your starting value (the 1000's).

We tend to start at 25/50 so that we can play for longer. Should I think about having more 25's, 100's, &/or 500's and cutting back on the 1000's?
