750 chip set - what breakdown?

i've got a chip set with 750 chips:
200 x 25
150 x 100
150 x 500
100 x 1000
100 x 5000
50 x 10000

i thougt about the following breakdown for 10 players
startstack 1
T30000
12 x 25
12 x 100
11 x 500
8 x 1000
3 x 5000

or startstack 2
T20000
12 x 25
12 x 100
7 x 500
5 x 1000
2 x 5000

and the wsop 2006 blindlevel

is it OK?

Re: 750 chip set - what breakdown?

should work fine if you have the patience to play that long of a game. Except that
breakdown 1
T30000
12 x 25
12 x 100
11 x 500 _ this will have to be 9x500 and increase
8 x 1000 _ to 9x1000
3 x 5000
you don't have enough 500's to give out 11 to 10 players. Best you don't anyway as it will make colouring up alot easier getting rid of your 25's and 100's when appropriate. Happy Gaming,

Re: 750 chip set - what breakdown?

It's always nice to use up all your chips, so you might consider a higher starting stack so you get to color up into your $10,000 chips by the end. But that would make a huge initial chip stack per player.

We would probably go a little higher and start with T$50K and 12/12/11/8/7 chips per player.

But I like your T$30K starting stack just fine.

you don't have enough 500's to give out 11 to 10 players.
I don't understand this. If you have 150 x $500 chips, that's more than enough to give out 11 plus have 3 more per player for color-ups. Am I missing something?

Also, starting with 25/50 blinds and moving up slowly will make for a very long game, as philh said. You could either move up more quickly or have a shorter time for each blind level, or even start with 50/100 blinds.

Re: 750 chip set - what breakdown?

I don't understand this either...after giving out 11 $500s per player, at 10 players, you still have 40 $500s remaining for coloring up. This is $20K in chips and can color up all of the $25s and $100s which total only $15,000. In fact this is way more than is needed in that when you color up, you never need to give out more than a single $500 to each player, since a $1000 chip is in play.
