400 chip T1500 breakdown

I'm planning on buying a 400 chip set of T-molds to use as a tourney set for 8-10 players w/ rebuys. Starting stacks are usually T1500 but sometimes T3000. I'm just wondering what breakdown I should use for a set of this size.

120 x 25 green
160 x 100 black
100 x 500 horizon blue
20 x 1000 arc yellow

How does that look? Would you guys make any changes?

Re: 400 chip T1500 breakdown

thanks, now if I were to add another 100 to the set how do you think I should distribute the additional 100?

Re: 400 chip T1500 breakdown

I would put the additional chips into t100 through t1000. You already have an ample number of t25s for 10 players but will need more t100s and t500s if you want to bump the starting stacks up to t5000 (100 times the BB). A few t1000 chips would also help facilitate rebuys.

Re: 400 chip T1500 breakdown

Hi,

we give the rebuyer only the highest denom available. He can change on the table. T3000 the rebuyer gets 3x T1000

but i think this breakdown is good. How many r/b is usual in your game?

Like this:

120 x T25
160 x T100
120 x T500
100 x T1000

This allows for a T5000 10 player rebuy tourney or a T10k 10 player freezeout with a 500 chip set of 4 denomination.

Out of curiosity, how would your start-stacks look like?

I don't plan on playing T5000 tourneys, T3000 max so I adjusted the chip quantities as follows:

120 x 25
200 x 100
140 x 500
40 x 1000

I'll also use these for a cash game .25-.50 blinds so the extra 100s can be used as $1s.

Thanks for all your help guys, I think this will be the perfect breakdown for our tourneys and if we decide to up the starting stacks (to T5000 for example) I'll just order some more 500s and 1000s if needed.

T1500
25-25 starting blinds

12 x 25 = 300
7 x 100 = 700
1 x 500 = 500

T3000
25-25 blinds

12 x 25 = 300
12 x 100 = 1200
3 x 500 = 1500

Something like that depending on how many 25s the players want to use.
