Bellagio Chip Breakdown ideal breakdown ? ...

Hi,

I'am new in this forum, and from France

I have not a lot of time to have an idea of the ideal set i have to order very soon for a set of 2007 Bellagio's

Could someone help me ?

Denoms are :

25
100
500
1000
5000
10000

I plan a set of Max 750 chips ... i think the set will be used for both tournament and cash game ( dividing denoms per 100 for example )

what do you think of the ideal breakdown for this set ? with a little explainations please if it can help me to understand your choice and advices

Thanx a lot for your help

Damien

Re: Bellagio Chip Breakdown ideal breakdown ? ...

When you play a cash game what would be a reasonable amount of money for everyone to buy-in with (in euros)???

Re: Bellagio Chip Breakdown ideal breakdown ? ...

Buy in is usually 5 euros, sometimes 10 and also the rebuy is the same

It's more two questions in my post i think

Do we need a set of 750 for this two styles of game or 500 are large enough for a max of 10 players ?

what would be the ideal number of chips for 10 person, so as i can use it for both cash and tournament ?

at last, what would be the best breakdown ?

PS: i love those Bellagio's ... is it needed to have all the denoms of this set ? ( in fact i want them to have all the colors lol )

Re: Bellagio Chip Breakdown ideal breakdown ? ...

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I'm going to get 600 chips.

200 25's
200 100's
100 500's
50 1000's
20 5000's

undecided how to do the extra 30 chips..maybe more 500's? not too sure yet.

running 8-10 people 10,000 tourneys. start with

20 25's = 500
15 100's = 1500
10 500's = 5000
3 1000's = 3000

48 chips = 10,000

Rebuy's for the first 2 hours (do with 2 5000 chips)

blinds 20 min levels

25 - 50
50 - 100
75 - 150
COLOR UP 25's (reason i'm getting the extra 50 100's)
100 - 200
200 - 300
300-600
BREAK (if you want or not) END OF REBUYS
400-800
500-1000
600-1200

700-1400
800-1600
900-1800
COLOR UP 100'S AND 500'S
1000-2000
2000-3000
3000-6000
etc.

that's 5 hours there and just keep increasing the blinds like above until the end.

for cash games i'm thinking

max 20 dollar buy in just use 25 c 25 c blinds
max 50 dollar buy in just use 25 c 50 c blinds
max 100 and max 200 just use 1 and 2 dollar blinds.

Let me know what you think and what everyone else thinks about it.

I was going to get a custom asm set maybe but i can't stop looking at the Protege chips. I love them.

Re: Bellagio Chip Breakdown ideal breakdown ? ...

Does it sounds "correct" to imagine a set like that ? :

150 x T25
250 x T100
175 x T500
100 x T1000
50 x T5000
25 x T10 000

OR

150 x T25
250 x T100
150 x T500
100 x T1000
75 x T5000
25 x T10 000

thanx

i think you have too many denominations.

if you want the 25's get rid of the 10,000 and vice versa.

if you keep the 25's and want 10 people tournies i would advise you get 200 or 160 of 25 chips. so for 10 people they get 16 25's for 400 or 20 25's for 500.

for you, as wanting this to be a cash set as well...are your blinds going to be 25 c and 50 c or 1 dollar and 2 dollar. if the cash set needs blinds under a dollar than drop the 10,000 chips and keep the 25's and vice versa

if you do 10,000 tourney's with 10 max people you won't EVER need a 10,000 chip. even at heads up there would be a max of 10 chips at the table. If i were you i would get rid of the 10,000 chip unless you up your tourney's to a starting stack above 30,000.

The 700-1400 and 900-1800 levels are very unusual. I have never seen these two levels included any tournament. I assume they're there to provide more play, which is a VERY good thing, but if you want to add in more levels to provide more play you should do it earlier while people are building their stacks.
If I were you I would remove the afore mentioned levels and add in a 150-300 and a 250-500 levels, it will replace the 2 levels and provide for a lot more play as those will be the levels when people are actually playing poker with deeper stacks.

Re: Bellagio Chip Breakdown ideal breakdown ? ...

Calling 4ceps!!!!!!!

Another job for the master here!!!

The way I see it if your buy-in for a cash game is 5 euros.

A limit cash game should be 10/25 ... small blind 5
A no-limit cash I guess would have to be 5/10.

Either of these games cannot be supported by the chipset proposed above.

I have just bought a 500 chip set that I plan to use for cash games and tourneys.

I got the following breakdown

200 x 5
160 x 25
100 x 100
40 x 500

I can support 10 players for the 10/25 limit game with
20x5 + 16x25. Gibing me 60 re-buys (20 @ 5x100 + 40 @ 1x 500)

I have been running a T3000 tourney using
20x25
10x100
3x500
but this maxes out at 8 players as I only have 160 x 25's.

I'm sure that you could increase the numbers of chips in each category to be able to manage 10 players.

As I said before 4ceps can probably come up with an awesome setup.

good luck

mirageII
