Chips: 530 | | | Heads up breakdown needed I'm still looking into buying a small 100-chip heads up set. What I need help with, is the breakdown.
What is a good amount to start with in a heads up match? I'd like to have the blinds be 1-2. I know I am using 1, and 5 denom chips, but should I use a 10 in addition, or a 20? or 25? The blinds will be a constant 1-2 throughout the heads up match, and will not go up.
I am set on having 100 chips, 50 per player, so I need a breakdown for the chips, as well as a good starting amount. Any help is appreciated, thanks! |

If the blinds don't go up, you might end up stealing blinds from each other for hours until someone gets bored.
If there were slow blinds, then maybe I would say three denoms to cut the stacks down and go 50-30-20. (T1, T5 and T20)
Hand out 25T1's, 15T5's and 5T20's and you got a forty five chip stack (not much better than 50 but I tried) for a T200 HU tourney that will last a while with exactly enough T20's behind to color up when you get there..
You don't even have to count out chips, just half of each of the first two colors and a five stack of the T20 for each of you. |

Chips: 362 | | | Re: Heads up breakdown needed I would recommend a T100. But If my math is right, there is no possible way to have Exactly 50 starting chips, 2 denominations (1 and 5), for a T100.
How about 48 chips for a starting stack? Hand out 35 T1 chips and 13 T5 chips. If you want to make it an even 50 chips, add 2 T25 chips to the starting stacks for a T150.
So your final chipset will be 70 T1 chips, 26 T5 chips, and 4 T25 chips.
Hope this is want you're looking for. Good luck. |

I'm getting a HU set on palm's compression chips and Poboy made a killer inlay for me... then the solids looked so good and well, you know the rest. I'll bet Poboy thinks all his work is for naught but I WILL have my HU set

- 2 denoms only
- $1s and $5s
- 50 chips per person to start
OK, in that case I would have 20 x $1 and 30 x $5 per person. I suspect after a while your minimum raise would be to $5, and most betting would be in increments of $5. (You might even try 10-15 of the $1s and more $5s.) |

50x1
matches go 10-40 minutes. blinds don't go up.
if i were to add a denom, i'd do:
40x1
10x5
total breakdown 80x1, 20x5 |

But the starting stack is, well, wierd at t170. but i can't think of anything better other than just maybe ten ones per player total. |

One buddy of mine and I will play 2-3 games in an afternoon...loser of the first one is beer wench until he wins!!
Yeah...I don't want to brag....but I rarely get my own beer!! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
