Chips: 478 | | | T1500 for 20 players. 1000 chips Here is what I am thinking. A 20 person setup with one rebuy (T1500) and one add on (T2000). Starting stacks of T1500.
200 $5
300 $25
300 $100
140 $500
50 $1000
10 $5000
Using the home poker tourney blinds below, except start with a 5-10 level.
Level Small/Big
1) 5/10
2) 10/20
3) 15/30
4) 20/40
5) 25/50
6) 50/100
7) 75/150
8.) 100/200
9) 150/300
10) 200/400
11) 300/600
12) 400/800
13) 500/1000
14) 600/1200
15) 800/1600
16) 1000/2000
I think my above breakdown will work pretty well. Any thoughts and/or suggestions? I just wanted to get some of the big denominations $1k and $5K in there cause they look cool and "just in case".
Thanks!

With 20 T1500 starting stacks of 15, 13, 6, 1 of T5, T25, T100, T500, respectively, and 20 re-buys (3 x T500; should cover your add-on needs given that you would never have all 20 players re-buy), then you need:
300 x T5
320 x T25
200 x T100
120 x T500
60 x T1000
-------------
1000 chips on the nose
You shouldn't really need the T5000's, since, even with 40 buy-ins, you only have 60,000 on the table.
Your blinds look good. I usually look at how many levels it takes for the blinds to double. Aside from 1 -> 2, your blinds double every other level until level 12, after which they double every 3rd level. That's pretty good. Of course, the jump from 25/50 to 50/100 has always bothered me. I sometimes include a 35/70 level in there, although some players get annoyed having to keep T5 chips until then. |

With a 10, 10, 7, 1 starting stack I think I would be OK. I may even be able to squeeze a few more players in if I wanted to, and increase the starting stack value up to maybe 5K as well. I'm wanting to make it a versitile set as it will be my workhorse set of chips. |

Chips: 324 | | | Re: T1500 for 20 players. 1000 chips i use the same structure and it works good.
after the 25-50 level , we have a break , get rid of the 5's, and do add'ons
i have never needed to use 5k chips either
good luck |

Chips: 199 | | | Re: T1500 for 20 players. 1000 chips My setup is nearly identical, but we do a freezeout. My first three levels are slightly different, 5/10, 10/15, and 15/25. Then we go to 25/50 after the break and we color up the T5s.
I used the 15/13/6/1 breakdown for a while but we just went to 30 players so I went to the aforementioned 10/10/7/1 because I couldn't augment my T5 supply and I didn't see the need to have sooo many chips that only last an hour. My breakdown:
T5 300 (actually have 400 but removed 100 from the set to make room)
T25 400
T100 300
T500 50 (would like another 50 here)
T1000 50 ( had to get these until I can get some 500's)
Total 1100
I think if you're doing 20 players you can get away with 50 or so less each of the T25 and T100 (That's what replaced the T5s when I removed them from the case, so those quantities worked for me before with up to 24 players.) For rebuys or addons you just throw the player 3xT500 and they make change on the table of course. |

Chips: 1,411 | | | Re: T1500 for 20 players. 1000 chips I got the following out of Capt Lego:
5 - 200
25 - 240
100 - 300
500 - 180
total 920
Looks to me like you will need more 5s to squeeze in more than 20 people at 10/10/7/1, but have a few too many 25s at 20 people. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
