Chips: 1,000 | | | Cash game Advice .05/.10 NL I want to add a 500pc chipset for a Low Stakes Cashgame.
5c SB, 10c BB, NL Hold'em.
I was thinking doing something like this:
160 x 5c
180 x 25c
100 x $1
60 x $5
Starting Stacks with a $10 buyin would be:
15 x 5c
17 x 25c
5 x $1
The $5 are mainly for color-ups or if we should decide to play .25/.50 NL (unlikely, but possible)
Would this sound like a good setup? |

Plus I like lots and lots of chips. |

Chips: 501 | | | Re: Cash game Advice .05/.10 NL For my cash game set (we play mainly 5c/10c NL as well) those numbers look pretty close to my own.
160 x 5c
160 x 25c
120 x $1
60 x $5
But that's for a 8 player game, and I think I factored in some higher limits as well, but I don't recall offhand.
Starting stacks are 20 x 5c chips, and the rest of the buyin made up with quarters. The dollar chips tend to come into play when there are rebuys, or sometimes if the initial buyin would push the quarters to be more than 20 in the starting stack we'll add $1 chips for the amount above 20 x 25c chips instead.
So for your starting stack of $10, I'd go with 20 x 5c, 20 x 25c, 4 x $1. Then again, I like to have more chips as well

? | I'd expect a lot of slowdown in play with a 20c chip - people are used to thinking in terms of nickels/quarters/dollars.

Starting stack: 20x5c, 20x25c, 4x$1
Rebuy 1: 5x$1, 1x$5
Rebuy 2: 2x$5
Rebuy 3: 2x$5
You'd need 200 x 5c, 200 x 25c, 50 x $1, 50 x $5. For a total of 500. Which actually worked out well, I'm surprised (I think those calculations are done right, I have numerous versions of that spreadsheet). Initial buyin + 30 rebuys, I think that's way more than you'd need I think a total of $360 possible for chips in play. My set has $468, but that's tailored for 8 people, not 10.

Chips: 64 | | | Re: Cash game Advice .05/.10 NL Here's what I use for my .05/.10 microstakes cash set and it works great:
0.05 x 60 (chipco classics)
0.10 x 240 (chipco classics)
0.50 x 100 (chipco classics)
2.50 x 20 (chipco casinos)
400 chips, $126. The .05s are just used for SBs. Having all .10 chips instead of quarters is flexible and easy to count out ($0.40 bet is just four dimes...everyone gets it right quickly). I recently picked up the 2.50 chip. I was using $1 classics for a while, and they worked fine, too. |

Seymour, thanks a ton for the great breakups, though! I might still think about your last breakup, though |

10: $0.05
10: $0.10
14: $0.25
05: $1.00
Works pretty well for us.

Works pretty well for us. | If you substitute $0.50 instead of quarters you could do the same but with 7 of the $0.50 for a total of 32 chips per player. A 500 chip set should be more than sufficient for 12-15 players
