Chips: 59 | | | 400 chip cash breakdown I going to get a cash set. Our game right now is .25/.50 NL but probably plays more like a .50/1.00. I would like to get the best breakdown that I could use for both. What do you guys think. I was thinking
.25-125
1-175
5-75
25-25
I have to buy in 25 chip quantities. Do you guys have any other suggestions? |

I have to buy in 25 chip quantities. Do you guys have any other suggestions? | how many players usually? what's the buy in for each stake that you play? how often do your players reload? plug these values in and the calculator should come up with something that's good for you...if not, provide the above info and someone will help you out |

For starters, I find the following works well for a full table of 25c/50c NLHE:
25c: 160
$1: 180
$5: 40
$25: 20
Because you need to round up to stacks of 25, your suggestion is a pretty good starting point.

Chips: 3,968 | | | Re: 400 chip cash breakdown 10-handed with a limping crowd, there can be as many as 40 quarters in a pot! Sure, change can be made out of the pot with a limp.
If you have a raising bunch, as you say you do, you can get away with less quarters.

Chips: 1,861 | | | Re: 400 chip cash breakdown 20 quarters in a limped-around family pot. I've just never had the use of all 175 of the quarters in my old set. Now, the smallest I have is 0.50 so that's our new SB

I don't disagree with you, but if he's got limpers, or guys that aren't sharp enough to put in a dollar and take out two quarters when its a limp to them and they are low on quarters....he might want to get more than 100 quarters.
Depends on his game.

Chips: 1,861 | | | Re: 400 chip cash breakdown heh, oh. Yeah, if you get a minbet and 9 callers that's def. two stacks of quarters out there. Can I come play at your house?

Chips: 59 | | | Re: 400 chip cash breakdown Sorry I should have gave more info. We just started to play ring games but the buyins average $40-60. Some players will reload 3-4 times. It might go a bit higher thats why I want to keep it flexible. I also think this game will go to .50/1 as a 5x raise will get several callers. Not much limping going on alt all. I would like to stay with .25s instead of .50 though to keep versatility. I would like the set to be for 9 players and be able to handle 10 in a pinch. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
