Chips: 225 | | | Opinion on high denomination chip breakdown I'm thinking about adding some high denomination chips to my bellagio set, but I have a question about what denoms to get.
I will be adding some 5000's, possibly 10,000's, 25,000's, and 100,000's.
My question is, do I need to purchase the 10,000's? I will be playing with 1,000's, 5,000's, 25,000's, and 100,000's...I'm not sure whether I should get 10,000's to play with or not.
In low denoms the 10 was left out so I'm wondering why there is a 10,000?
Any thoughts would be appreciated,

Chips: 502 | | | Re: Opinion on high denomination chip breakdown My set also starts with the 1k chip and I use this breakdown for a T100,000 tourney:
30 x 1K
6 x 5k
4 x 10k
or
30 x 1K
9 x 5k
1 x 25k
You can maximize the number of chips you buy by leaving off the 10k, but I included it because I wanted the 100k tourney to mirror my T10,000 tourney (with an added zero) which has this as the starting stack:
30 x 100
6 x 500
4 x 1000 |

(for the big stack feel)
20 x 500 = 10,000
15 x 1000 = 15,000
15 x 5000 = 75,000
(or, for more players)
10 x 500 = 5,000
10 x 1000 = 10,000
7 x 5000 = 35,000
2 x 25000 = 50,000 |

I just wanted to have all the high denoms in the Bellagio set. I also bought some $1,000s even though they're a little bit small.
I use two different tourney setups, depending on the number of players:
MEEEELLLLION DOLLAR TOURNEY (deep stack, start w/ $2K/$5K blinds)
5 x $1,000
9 x $5,000
15 x $10,000
12 x $235,000
5 x $100,000.....(46 chips total)
Half Million Dollar Tourney (deep stack, start w/ $1K/$2K blinds)
5 x $1,000
9 x $5,000
10 x $10,000
6 x $235,000
2 x $100,000.....(32 chips total) |
