I am building a Pharoah set and need help.

I want a set that I can use for 5-10 ppl.

Heres what I have so far:

31 - 1000's
40 - 500's
1 - 500 egyption plaque

This is just a start to my set. What else should I get and how many?

and also how should I use them? whats a good starting stack and structure?

any help would be great thanks!

I do T10,000 tournies, with 8 people max.

Starting stacks are
12 x $25
12 x $100
7 x $500
5 x $1000

I have 100 - 25's
100 - 100's
80 - 500's
80 - 1000's

With a max of 8 people (my table is a octagon) you could get away with 40 - $1000's for a total of 320 chips.

I just bought 8 $5,000 plaques so my last tourny was T15,000, and I might stick with that just to keep the plaques in play since they are so cool

I'd do a T10,000 w/ starting stacks of:

15 - $100
9 - $500
4 - $1000

Total chips:

150 - 100
120 - 500 (enough to color up the 100's)
40 - 1000
20 - 5000 (used if you want to do re-buys)

Start blinds at 100/100 (everyone would be 100 times the big blind) or 100/200 (everyone would be 50 times the big blind)

...first answer: You can never, ever have too many Pharaohs or plaques. So assuming you get a second mortgage or something.....

I like to start my group with 20 - $25, 40 - $100, 20 - $500, 20 - $1,000 which is $34,500 I think. If we have 16 or so players that's a bit over $500,000 in chips -- when we combine at the final table I bring out the plaques and typically chip out the $500's and $1,000's until the final two are plaque on plaque baby! It's awesome!

As far as the blind time goes, I've held a monthly game on Thursdays and we typically have to run under 15 min. blinds to get done by 10:30 (start at 7) -- work night, kids trying to sleep upstairs etc. BUT, we just tried Friday night and ran the blinds at 25 min and WHAT A DIFFERENCE -- so much more poker could be played. Much more relaxed, way more fun and everyone loved it. This pushed us from a 3.5 hr game to 5 hr game but on Friday night it was totally cool. Just a thought.

and don't forget to include chips to take lower denoms out of play and some higher denoms for rebuys

T5000 for ten people - you can get away with 400 chips

Starting stacks 12 x T25, 12 x T100, 5 x T500, 1 x T1000
Single rebuy or add on with 2 x T500 and 4 x T1000

You will need
T25 - 120 chips
T100 - 120 chips
T500 - 100 chips (50 for starting stacks, 30 to color up T25 and T100, 20 for rebuy / add-on)
T1000 - 60 chips (10 for starting stack, 40 for rebuys, 10 extra)

The 10 extra can be a 2nd rebuy or a double add-on.

150/300 - color up T25

300/600
400/800 - color up T100
500/1000
1000/2000
1500/3000
2000/4000 etc
