Chips: 144 | | | 20 person tourney with 1000 chips breakdown advice Hey, I know I've asked before, but I always like people's advice who have a little more knowledge on the topic.
I'm looking at a 20 person tourney, with no rebuys. I want to get 1000 chips of 25's, 100's, 500's, 1000's, and 5000's. What breakdown do you suggest? |

100 400
500 200
1000 120
5000 40 Starting Stacks for a T5000 with 25/50 starting blinds and plenty of color up room
12x25, 17x100, 6x500 (35 chips).
You could easily go to a 10k tourney (aka WSOP) by throwing in a few 1k or 5k chips. |

You could easily go to a 10k tourney (aka WSOP) by throwing in a few 1k or 5k chips. | With these chips, you could also go up to 26 players with the following breakout
8x25, 13x100, 5x500, 1x1000 with plenty of colorups.
Here is my spreadsheet also |

Chips: 144 | | | Re: 20 person tourney with 1000 chips breakdown advice Is there any reason to have so many more 100's than 500's? Or is it just personal preference?
What if I was to go with 12x25, 12x100, 10x500, 1x1000 for a T7500? |

Chips: 560 | | | Re: 20 person tourney with 1000 chips breakdown advice the bigger stack of 100's seems to be a "second denom stack bigger than the other denom stacks" kind of a thing.
Which I like. the small potatoes betting with the first few rounds clears out for the serious betting in the middle rounds, which is when the blacks start flying. (At least for me) |

would it be weird if I was to go with:
240 - 25's
300 - 100's
300 - 500's
150 - 1000's
10 - NCV (I know this is not enough to color up, just using my 10 left over chips to make 1000 total)
and made my starting stacks 12x25, 12x100, 12x500? |
