Cash Game Set Up?

I am buying custom chips from Gene from ABC and my poker league is looking to run some .25/.50 and 1/2 cash games.

What do you suggest for chip breakdowns on a 300 chip set? 8 players would be the most that we would have at one time.

I use a 300 chip set for my weekly cash game. Our blinds are .25/.50. I have 150 $0.25, 100 $1.00, and 50 $5.00. We usually buy in for $20.00, so the breakdown is twelve $0.25 ($3.00), seven $1.00 ($7.00), and two $5.00 ($10.00). Then, if someone wants to rebuy, I just give them four $5.00 and have them make change from someone at the table.

.25-.50 NL for 8 players

80 .25
120 $1
100 $5

You will need more of the $1 and $5 chips for a 1/2 game, I suggest expanding to a 400 or 500 piece set with more 1's and 5's.

100 .25
250 $1
150 $5

You may also want to have the chips printed without denominations (25, 1, and 5) so that you could use the 25's as $25 chips in the 1/2 game.

Our league has a great tournament set up and are looking for a cash game set up for early losers. Anyone suggest $2 chips in case we decide to do 1/2?

I wouldn't do $2 chips. For 1/2 games I use 1, 5, and 25 chips. But you need lots of 1s.
