maybe this
$1-200
$5-600
$25-180
$100-20
About $10k in chips, if you don't need that much cash drop a few $25 and $5 and add more $1

$100-20 | Agreed on the $1 and $5 chips. I only want to have $1/5/non-denoms only. I'm probably going to get 1/4 pies if I can and I don't want to have a lot of different chips on the table. I could get away with 1s and 5s but I'd like something to have "just in case"

I assume you mean 1/2 NL and not 1/2 limit as you stated a min/max buyin which usually isn't an issue in limit.
1/2 NL is typically a game of red chips so you shouldn't need a lot of $1.
200 x $1 = $200
360 x $5 = $1,800
40 x $25 = $1,000
Chips (600pc)
20 x $1 = $20
36 x $5 = $180
That leaves you 5 full rebuys in just $25 chips and everyone as a good size starting stack (56 chips). I like to get all the main denoms out right away and then rebuys are just handled via the bigger denoms and they can make change at the table. Depending on your players, that may be too many white chips. I've only played 1/2 NL in Vegas a few times and outside the blinds, we rarely used the $1chips as all the bets were typically in multipes of $5. If you need more money, drop some $1 and add more $25 chips or even some $100. |

i use $20 chips for my $1/2 NL game instead of $25 chips. most people have $20 bills and want to buy in for $40 or $60 after they go broke. $20 chips makes it so easy. plus, $20 chips are usually black and cool looking and $25 chips are green and so common.

Chips: 4,625 | | | Re: $1/2 Cash Breakdown The 20 would be the way I would go if I had three denoms. I'd like to keep just two values and a non-denom to cover $20 chips. That way if someone starts running away with a ton of money I can upgrade them to $100.
