About to joing the Faux Clay Nation - Need help determining cash set needs

OK,
I've decided to pop for a cash set/travel set.
I've got a tourney set of 100 chips + 1000 bounty chips (Custom Nexgens).

I'm thinking that when my next 20 person tourney goes to the final table guys will want to start a cash game at the unused table.

So,
Questions.....what do you guys recommend for a 2-10 person cash game, we usually play either .10/.25 NLTH or .25/.50 NLTH. Also want this to be a travel set, so 300ct. would be ideal for that, but more concerned about having a good cash set for the tourneys.

Any suggestions would be great!

Ohhh and going Non-Denoms for these..

Thanks!
Bosder52

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but what's the normal buy-in for the NL cash games?

Re: About to joing the Faux Clay Nation - Need help determining cash set needs

Well I am sure that this will get moved eventually, but.....

You should go with this breakdown to meet the needs of those limits:

.10- 50
.25- 150
$1- 100

Maybe even 125 for the .25 and $1.

You definitely don't need many of the .10 for each player because they will only use them to post the small blind, so you could probably get away with 25 of them and put the extra towards the $1's, or maybe even some $5's for coloring up.

It really depends on what kind of money is going to be put on the table.

Others here may have more experience with the small number of chips you are getting.

I'm a fan of using more chips, so I would think that in a game like that that you would need more like a 60, 180, 60. But a breakdown of a limited amount of chips really depends on how much money is on the table, hence my previous question in my first reply.

Re: About to joing the Faux Clay Nation - Need help determining cash set needs

Because you are only getting 300 I'd recommend:

10c - 50
25c - 100
$1 - 100
$5 - 50

The $5's gives you more flexibility for more total buy in and potential rebuys. Also you don't need more than 5 of 10c per person as it will only be used for the small blind.

This is pretty close to my 300 breakdown of TR Kings for my cash set.

starting stacks:

10c - 5
25c - 14
$1 - 6
-------------------
$10 starting (if more is needed add $5's)

Clarification: The cash game will be used for the first players that get knocked out of my tournament and want to start a cash game.
