Chips: 1,401 | | | set to keep at work? how would you break down a set for quick games for after work in the conference room...micro cash, or SnG tourney for 2-6 players max...
keep the set small and versitile...(inconspicuous)
and how would you hand out starting stacks?

You can break it down in 40/40/20 or 40/50/10 to do up to 10 man tourneys/cash games. e.g. if you use 25/100/500 denoms, you can give starting stacks of 1500 with 4 - 25, 4 - 100, 2 - 500. I have it on my desk an nobody has any clue what is in it unless I show them. Doesn't look like a poker chip case.

Chips: 13,256 | | | Re: set to keep at work? Well with the 40/40/20 set you get a 10 chip starting stack with 10 people (4+4+2). If its fewer, you can retool to give bigger stacks. It works pretty well and no need to color up. 8 may be a bit small though. The configuration that foxwoods used for their sit & go tourneys was 4 - 25, 9 - 100, and 1 - 500. That worked well too, but you'd need 140 chips for 10 players.

Daily SnGs:
65+15
100+20
200+30
500+50
1000+50
1/2 NL is currently more juicy than ever too, since they're always now spreading b/t 12-23 tables all the time.

They are pretty malt, 10 players, 15 minute rounds. Starts off at 25/25 with 1500. Sounds like you could definitely get away with just a 100 chip set in the humidor box. I'm from north shore area not far from the city of sin!

are wait times better?, are they spreading more lower-limit games?
i'd like to get out there before my vegas trip in june....
so the 14 chip stack works well? do you do the blinds like you said above..now to find a good humidor...i am gonna use 60 blues/30/greens/10 yellows (faux's) and split up as you said 4-9-1, freezeout...
how would you distribute the same chips for a micro NLHE ring for the same small group...?
CT meetup in F/w sometime>? |

The room is pretty nice. But since it's downstairs, lower ceilings, which isn't so nice. All the tables have autoshufflers, but many new dealers, so be careful when you're in a hand. On the weekends they're spreading up to 23! 1-2NL games. I don't think they ever spread more than 12 upstairs. No idea on how many 4-8 games they're spreading.
Wait times are much lower, but sign in can be crowed/confused. Still no idea when their automated computer seating system will be up an running.
I'll be there Friday, and then many upcoming Sundays, so I'd be willing to meet up nearly any time.
