Chips: 20 | | | About to get the 600pc Luxury Chips from Pokerstars. Need help with denominations Hi All,
This has probably been asked before, and I did do a search, but I need a little help for the chipset that I am about to order from Pokerstars through the VIP program: http://www.pokerstars.com/FPPStore/chipset2.html
I am going to use these chips 99% of the time for cash games between $200-$500 buyin with $2/$5 blinds. I need to know how many of each denomination I am going to need for a 6-9 handed game assuming the following:
$1 = Blue chips
$5 = Red chips
$25= Green chips
$100 = Black chips
$500 = Purple chips
My games usually have $3,000 going across the table. Please help. Thanks in advance...... |

You're not going to need the $500 chips. For cash games of $50 - $1000 buy-ins with 10 players I would buy:
150 x $1
200 x $5
150 x $25
100 x $100
That's $15,000 in chips which will be more than enough, and you can give each player 15 or 20 $1 chips which will cover enough rounds of blinds.
If you want some $500s just for the sake of it, get 20 or so and get fewer $100s |

Second, I would change your order around a bit from what Devil Boy suggested. 2/5 is my game and as you know, $1 chips are pretty much obsolete. No player needs anymore than a few of these things (for when they don't complete a small bling). Also, with only $3000 on the table, you don't really need too many 100's. That being said, I would order the following breakdown.
50 x $1
300 x $5
200 x $25
50 x $100 |

With Gabe's breakdown, each player would only have enough $1 chips to complete a single small blind before they needed to make change (unless they win a pot in the meantime..)
You'd also have $5K in $25 chips and another $5K in $100 chips. That's probably more than you need. So I'd suggest a tweak, maybe to something like:
100 x $1
300 x $5
150 x $25
50 x $100

Chips: 20 | | | Re: About to get the 600pc Luxury Chips from Pokerstars. Need help with denomination Thanks for the advice guys. This breakdown seems about right:
100 x $1
300 x $5
150 x $25
50 x $100
I think I may add in 50 purples for purposes of the occassional tournament. Other than that, this does seem about right. You guys are right, $1 chips really are for the purpose of the SB. So I will lay off on getting too many.
So yeah, 42k FPP's and Platinum Star status is all you need to get these chips for free from Pokerstars ( http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp_store_...essories.html). Pretty sweet deal. I have enough FPP's for the 500 pc set, but may as well hold out a bit longer and earn enough for the 600 pc set. All just a matter of finding time in between work to play. What I need to do now is design my labels and I will be ready to make the order in about 2 weeks.
Thanks again! |

Need help with denominations Just out of curiousity, when you cashed in your points did P* put you directly in contact with pokerchips.com or do you have to work through P*. Also, you are definitely getting custom chips (spots & inlays) and not stock chips, correct?
The reason I ask is I'm saving up for the the 35k option and I'm would prefer working directly with PC.com as I'm an existing customer.
TIA |

TIA | Actually, I haven't gotten there yet. I am about 6k FPP's away from 42k. I'd imagine that Stars would put you in touch with PC.com, your specifications are forwarded to PC.com, and then from there it is another 12 weeks or so since they will be custom.
But you know, it wouldn't hurt to find out before hand. Let me shoot Stars legendary support in the industry an email, find out, and report back here how this is supposed to transact.
Still a sweet deal though since it is heavily discounted considering that every 62 FPP's equals $1. That puts this set of 600pcs plus a $200+ case at about $677. And it is going to be free!

Not a bad deal at all. I've only got about 11k so I have aways to go.
Thanks. |

Hello ----,
That is correct, for the 600 piece chip set you have the choice of body
colors, edge spot colors, and printed artwork. You will work directly with
pokerchipsonline.com sales staff and graphic artist to create your unique
set of poker chips. Once you place your order we will email you the
necessary information to contact pokerchipsonline.com so can make your
selection.

Anna

Subject: Platinumstar FPP Store: Luxury 600 pc Poker Chip set
Hi,
I am shooting to earn enough FPP's to pick up the Luxury 600 pc Poker Chipsset from the FPP store for Platinum Star members.
My question is when I do make the order and cash in my FPP's, how will I be able to work with Pokerchips.com so that they will be able to get my
specifications to custom make my chip set (amount, colors, edge spots, labels, etc)?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.........

Actually, that package is probably worth about $1,000. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
