Re: About to get the 600pc Luxury Chips from Pokerstars. Need help with denomination

Hehe. I have to chuckle at the thought that there might actually people that would play a 2/5 Limit Home game. Of course this is for No Limit! Sorry I didn't specify that. And in my game, when I say usually there is 3k going across the table, it's due the lowrolling friends (fish) that we need to accomodate at the table to keep it going. Of course, when the ringers are there, I have seen 15k at the game before. Not too bad.

I just realized, I am 6k FPP's short of being able to get this set and am in serious danger of losing my Platinum Star status at the end of this month (on account of running so hot on Party) unless I earn about 5k VPP's in the next week. So guess what I will be doing this weekend? Hehehe.

I have tweaked my label. Removed the border and enlarged the font. Plust took out the reference to Poker. We are just a "Syndicate" of Players. Suprisingly (and pleasantly), the removal improved the label's symmetry. I am not too pleased with the wizard caps aesthetics. So I will be tweaking that before I submit the order. But this here is pretty close to the final product.

You'll love the chips and your experience with pc.com will be excellent I'm sure. The folks they are great to work with. Very smart of you to start planning before you actually have to order the items. Take your time, think about a graphic you really want and like, and go from there. I pondered my design for about a year before I finally figured out exactly what I wanted, and I'm glad i took the time I did. Looking forward to some pictures a few months down the road.
By any chance, is your avatar your actual chip label?

Almost there. I am happy with the wizard cap now. I think I may change the font for the denominations and maybe add a drop shadow to the lettering. At 95% now, I think. And after all this designing and reworking, I am starting to realize how George Lucas feels.

Good luck, try to squeeze a meal or two in during that time. Just out of curiousity, what games/limits do you play to get PlatinumStar status?

Re: About to get the 600pc Luxury Chips from Pokerstars. Need help with denomination

Jambine,

I didn't mean to be offensive. I just found it a bit funny.

hachkc,

I multi-table the 400 NL game. I have two Dell 2001fp monitors and usually play 6-7 tables. This weekend, I did mostly 4 tables on Stars and 2 on Party. Stars is the better site. But it is tough to stay away from Party due to the abundance of fish. There are plus and minuses about either site tho. The player's on Stars are generally much tougher than Party.

I was actually 8k FPP's away from having enough for this set when I opened this thread, not 6k. But over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I averaged 2k FPP's a day. Right now, I am less than 2k FPP's away. I should be able to make the order tomorrow night. And if all goes well, maintain my Platinum Star status through next month the day afterwards. Wish me luck.

The 35K option (500 chipset) isn't customizable? Or is it and you just want the luxury one?

Re: About to get the 600pc Luxury Chips from Pokerstars. Need help with denomination

I don't believe the 35k option is customizable. You can always email support to be sure. But the fact that it is specifically stated that the 42k set is customizable and the 35k set has no mention of it, probably is a good indication that the 35k set isn't customizable.

Also, as an update, I have yet to hear back from Stars as to how/when I will be notified to work with Pokerchips.com so that my set can be ordered. This is not good news. I notice that Stars pulled off most of their electronics from the FPP store, I hope they aren't doing the same with the chipset.

And I was able to maintain my Platinum Star status through April. Took some doing, but I did it just in the knick of time!!!

Re: About to get the 600pc Luxury Chips from Pokerstars. Need help with denominations

I think Dell got nervous with the impending Internet gambling legislation that's up for debate at the moment.

I can't imagine that www.pokerchips.com would have the same issue(s) as Dell though.
