Chips: 1,244 | | | for the weekly game... 1500 chip tourney....
40 $5
20 $10
20 $25
6 $100
5-10 starting blinds....
color out the 5 & 10's when blinds hit 25-50
color out the 25's at 100-200
(the $10's aren't necessary, but I like to get more color into the game)
cash games 1-2 or 2-4....i just use the same chips, but unless they buy-in >$100, they just use $1's and $2's

8-14 players, usually...
about 2500 regular chips, + 500 1's and 500 2's for the cash games

Chips: 1,244 | | | Re: for the weekly game... well, I color out the 5's and ten's when the blinds hit 25-50
then it's just 25's and 100's
when the blinds go to 100-200 I color out the 25's...add in some 500's
then it's just 100's and 500's
Got to use all the chips, man!!

Chips: 5,848 | | | Re: for the weekly game... I always thought it would be fun just to give out a full rack of chips for everyone's buy in; everyone would start with one of those monster stacks you see on TV.
Not very practical but different. Personally, I'm all about quality (purples, yellows) versus quantity (reds, greens). |

Chips: 447 | | | Re: for the weekly game... I have to say this sounds pretty cool. A bit excessive, perhaps, but it's always fun to have a big stack of chips in front you. This way everyone gets that chance right from the get go. I might try this on Saturday. -m |

Chips: 5,848 | | | Re: for the weekly game... Just ran the numbers for my tourney set. I could actually do a T4000 with 10 people using the following counts
5 x 40
25 x 40
100 x 18
500 x 2
and still have enough chips to left to color up 5 to 25, 25 to 100 and 100 to 500.
Might be a nice idea to try for a small tourney. Could even go deepstack and start at 5/10 or 5/5. |
