Ken | That looks like just a generic text-based code editor --- or am I missing something? On their website, I didn't see any mention of php, Javascript, wysiwyg GUI editing, interpreters, debuggers, math libraries, .... ??

But it is programmable by extension, and for stright programing (ie. perl, sql, and tkl, php) it can not be beat in the windows environment

I use their ActivePerl for my windows Perl stuff. Great product.
I use JBuilder for my java work, and I am trying to get up to speed with Eclipse.
So I do use a GUI interface for the screens. But Micro$oft is about the only ones that make them becuase they are just so big a beast. And MS knows how to charge. I have been at this so long that I started with Hollerith cards. . I prefer the database and sql stuff.

And I remember those damn Hollerith cards.... I spent too many hours with an 029 keypunch and card reader.
Thanks for the leads, guys. I'll check out some of those tools and see it they'll work for me. I don't mind spending some $, it it will save me some time.

Chips: 2,139 | | | Re: Chip Breakdown Calculator ** Version 0.4 now available ** Yep, first time through I ran the MCRInstaller.exe and that seemed to work fine, no errors on installation. It created a number of files as it ran, and when i installed it the second time (after an uninstall) I ran the MCRInstaller.msi file, again with no errors.
I unzipped the breakdown.zip file to a new folder and ran the breakdown4.exe from there.
