| The Water Club - Borgata, Atlantic City Hope no one minds, but I wanted to share some impressions. Haven’t seen anything here yet about this place, so I here we go. I got back recently from a long weekend at Borgata where I was afforded the opportunity to stay at their brand new property, The Water Club. Wow! Never having been to Vegas, I don’t know how this would compare to some of the newer high end properties out there, but it was easily the nicest hotel where I’ve ever stayed. The service was impeccable as well. Here are a few highlights: Just an overall beautiful facility, with gorgeous landscaping, flowers and foliage all around. Five pools, including two that were infinity style, and poolside food and drink service. Very impressive spa, with all the services you would expect. In the room, fresh orchids daily, beautiful furnishings, a state of the art touch screen multi use phone that I’ve never seen before, robes and slippers, turndown service nightly, wet bar, leather upholstery, large flat screen hi def tv, and a great bathroom that includes a multi head shower with a “rain” option. >> As you probably can tell from the name, water is a big theme. There’s a water view from every room and fountains everywhere. One of the bars has an awesome stone wall with water running straight down the face. Very, very relaxing atmosphere. >> The only negative is the price. It’s expensive. Really expensive, at least by my standards. I got a superb deal this time, but I don’t think I would ever choose to stay there at full price. Don’t get me wrong – you get what you pay for, I just don’t have the income to justify the cost. But if you can afford it, or for a special occasion, I’d highly recommend staying there. >> Oh, and btw, I did spend an inordinate amount of time in their first class poker room and walked out well ahead. So overall, a good trip. If anyone has any specific questions, feel free to pm me. Thanks for reading.
