Rockingham is a horse track in New Hampshire with simulcast and live racing. It also features a poker room that donates a percentage of rake to a different charity each night.

Poker offered seven days a week:
Monday 3PM - Midnight
Tuesday 3PM-Midnight
Wednesday 3PM - Midnight
Thursday 3PM - Midnight
Friday 3PM - Midnight
Saturday 12PM - Midnight
Sunday 12PM - Midnight

My friends and I showed up around 3pm on Sunday Jun 15, Father's day. They had 2/2 limit hold'em and 2/2 Omaha-8 running for cash games, 10 player turbo SnGs, and Multi-Table tournaments running. Cash games are raked 10% up to $5.

The cash games are currently 2/2 games, meaning that blinds are $1/2 and bets are $2 for all streets. However, betting limits will change starting July 1, 2008 so that they will be able to offer $2/$4 limit holdem/O8/stud. Players tended to play very poorly and tended to be on the loose/passive side. Rake maxes out at $5 for $2/2 games and will max out at $7 at $2/4 games.

Players seemed to be particularly bad at choosing starting hands in O8, and would gladly call into a raised or straddled pot with the same crappy hands they play in unraised pots. 6~8 way flops were very common. Players will gladly call bets on all streets to draw for backdoor lows, random non-nut hands, bottom set->house, non-scoop straights on 2 suited boards, etc.

[side note: I'm a complete newbie at O8, but even I can tell when players REALLY suck at O8]

In addition, there are rumors that they might consider offering blackjack at $4 per bet.

SnG tournaments:
$40 buy in: 150/90/60 (25% rake), 3000 in chips, 10 min levels
$60 buy in: 350/200/150 (12% rake) 3000 in chips, 12 min levels
$150 6-mx: 500/300 (12% rake) 5000 in chips, 12 min levels

Main event tournaments (25% rake):
I believe blinds start at 25/50 for main event tournaments -- need verification.

Mon/Tues/Wed:
1st Tournament: 6pm $40 w/ 2x $40 rebuy/add-ons (3000 chips)
2nd Tournament: 7:30pm $80 no rebuy (5000 chips)

Thurs:
1st: 4:30pm $50 no rebuy (4000 chips)
2nd: 6:00pm $40 w/ 2x $40 rebuy/addon (3000 chips)
3rd: 7:30pm $80 no rebuy (5000 chips)

Fri:
1st: 4:30pm $50 no rebuy (4000 chips)
2nd: 6:00pm $40 w/ 2x $40 rebuy/addon (3000 chips)
3rd: 7:30pm $100 no rebuy (5000 chips)

Sat/Sun:
1st: 2:00pm $40 w/ 2x $40 rebuy/addon (3000 chips)
2nd: 4:30pm $70 no rebuy (4000 chips)
3rd: 7:00pm $100 no rebuy (5000 chips)

Nightly $250 game:
9:00 pm
6000 chips, 20 min blinds
12% rake

Second that, the tourney players are pretty bad too. At least half of them that is. And if you get in a SNG late (like 10pm or so), half the players will probably be hammered. Sit back and let them kill each other off unless you've got the absolute nuts and trap well.

Sounds better than I thought what went down...I always feel like the charity games here are 50% ....but 12% is not too shabby! Will be hitting that a few times after June 27th. I'm assuming this is hotter on weekend nights..
