The thread on Carnival's electronic PokerPro offerings got me thinking about what other cruise lines offer in terms of poker. It also reaches into the category of poker cruises with non-stop poker being offered by 3rd party organizers like CardPlayer and Players Cruise.
Let's use this thread to compile information for CT members who might be planning a cruise and want to incorporate poker.
I found this web site, but it doesn't indicate how dated the main article on poker is:
Cruise Casinos -- Poker on Cruise Ships . There's some good info there though ship casinos in general though.
Here's a link to a cruisecritic.com forum where a discussion of poker cruising is taking place
Poker Cruises? - Cruise Forums - Cruise Message Boards - Cruise Critic .
Here's a link to a trip report by Lou Krieger of a CardPlayer cruise experience
Caribbean Poker Cruise Report by Lou Krieger and here's a CT link to a review that I wrote of a Player's Cruise taken last autumn
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/card-r...sy-review.html
We've already received reports that NCL still has live poker offerings in the regular ship's casino while Carnival at least is resorting to PokerPro electronic tables based on my Ecstasy cruise last week. Please post questions, experiences, links, etc. here and I'll keep the OP updated.
