Harrah's Las Vegas

Harrah's LV

Me and the wife stayed here on our first trip to Vegas last August. Being out first time there, we really didn't know what to expect. Over all out trip was fantastic! On to the poker room.

- Non-smoking
- They have 1/2, 2/4, 3/6 and 5/10 NL
- They have 2/4, 3/6 Limit
- Dealers are great. They know whats going on in every hand, they are very friendly, they remember your name.

Cash games:

The cash games are pretty good, lots of money to be made. I however played like a donk and lost a few hundred.

Tournaments:

The tournament were pretty good. They average about 60 people for the $50 buyin toruny. Starting stack were 1500, with the option to addon upto the first break for an extra $20 you get 1500 more chips. Blinds were really fast at 15mins. The other daily tourny's they had was a $100 buying with 2500 starting chips, these tournaments were hit or miss. I played in a few that had 30-40 people and I played in a few that only had 6-15 players.

Slots:

I dont play slots, but my wife does. They had a good varity of slots raning from 1cent to $25. They also have a "high limit" slot room where slots go upwards of $100....

Casino:

The casino has several places to dine. here are a few my wife and I went to.

Flavors - This buffet was very good. Thye had a wide varity of cusine. They have all kinds of meat, chicken, veggies, soups, salad, mexican, asian, southern. Their dessert table in UNREAL. They have to have atleast 50 different kinds of pastry, brownies, cookies and so on.

Toby Keiths - I Love this Bar & Grill

This was a kinda laid back casual dinner. The portions are HUGE. The price's were resonable and service was great. The atmosphere was very fun and exciting and the overall meal experience was very good.

Cons:

The only con I have was every time we would walk in or out of Harrah's we would be pestered by employee's saying "Hi would you like to see a free show.....blah....blah....blah". This being our first time in Vegas I just figured it was only a 1 time thing. But every time we would leave to go out to the strip, they would just annoy the hell out of you.

Thanks for looking
-Chris.

lol chris! I used to work at Harrah's LV. Were they the girls outside by the Carnival Bar that kept offering you the free ticket pamphlet? Those poor girls got yelled at a lot! Nice review by the way. Harrah's poker room is pretty laid back, I always wanted to play in there, but was never allowed because i was an employee.

Re: Harrah's Las Vegas

The biggest negative to playing at Harrah's is the $5 maximum rake. The
Las Vegas standard in other places is only $4.

Re: Harrah's Las Vegas

My fondest memory of Harrah's Poker Foom, from my vacation in December 2007, was the mixed game on Monday night. This was my introduction to double-flop Omaha and to Badugi.

Check out my trip report here.
