Re: 5/10 cent cash game

I've used both my Fauxs and Super Diamonds for low stakes. We just used .05 with some .25s. Also used my 20 $1.00 chips from the Bellagio to add a little class. This for .05/.10 no limit. Used a $5.00 buy in and it worked pretty well.

Re: 5/10 cent cash game

I have 5s 25s and 100s for my tournaments, and I use those for the .05 /.10 cash games that follow. No $ signs, just the numbers.

If you want cheap, check this out. Denominations with NO currency symbols. The seller says he'll post an auction if you want a custom breakdown. You can even get 10's. May be worth a look:

Re: 5/10 cent cash game

Thanks for the effort guys.

Beyond tilt: Now that's an awesome set. Looks great on your chiptalk neoprene layout. The red on the nickels are bright. Great looking, good luck with them.

Kingzilla: Thanks for the effort as well. I know I'm going to get bashed for this completely but I did purchase a 1000 chips of those cheap Las Vegas chips. Believe me I did all the pros and cons: The biggest debate was that I didn't want to pay more than a nickel for a nickel chip.

It has a big colored inlay, no dollar symbol, 5 gram, simple but useful , Best part..... 2 cents a chip for a 1000 chips.

I bought them on Thursday and received in the mail on Saturday. I might buy the 10 chip for a dime chip soon.

Thumbs up Re: 5/10 cent cash game

Hey, you could have done worse. Actually, those chips are supposed to be 9 grams. I have had 2000 of the similar "Las Vegas" 9 gram chips. They had the same inlay, only the inlay was smaller and the rim was bigger. I think they were both produced by the same manufacturer. Still, the chips I had were among the best cheap chips I ever played with.

Re: 5/10 cent cash game

Is this the chip you have?

How were they all together?

- Did they stack well?
- Are they a very plastic chip? Like, are they more dull in color?

I read the Home Poker Tourney report on these before I bought, but still took a chance. The only thing that worries me is the label coming off.

My chips were shipped to another address, don't have time to pick them up until later this week.

Hi: Yes, that picture is the type of chips I had. They stacked VERY well for cheap chips. I never had a problem with the labels coming off and I wouldn't anticipate any problems. The inlay is a label covered by a clear plastic coat. I really liked them. They are not as "plasticy" as you would think and they shuffled ok. The weight was good at about 9 grams. IMO, the best cheap, denominated chip I've ever played with.. in this price range. I got the one pictured over the one with the larger inlay because I thought they'd stack better with more "chip to chip" contact. Still, I don't think you'll be disappointed. They are getting harder to find lately, but there is an ebay seller with very similar chips here:

Re: 5/10 cent cash game

I got my chips today and for what they are worth, I would gives a thumbs up to them and anyone looking for a decent nickel chip. Some of the labels were off and some other cheap plastic chip things like, cracks and over molding. But out of a thousand chips about 98% of them are fine....so far.

The only thing is that I can only put 19 chips in each row of a rack. Do you have the same problem?
