Chips: 2,899 | | | Mixed-game ring games (home) I'm curious to know how other people structure home mixed-game ring games. Not dealer's choice games, but HORSE, HOSE, or other similarly structured ring games. Online ring games of HORSE change games after a fixed number of hands (e.g., 10) regardless of the number of people sitting at the table. In B&M casinos, the game changes every 30 minutes, when the dealer changes.
I've played in a couple of home HORSE ring games that were lots of fun. With 5 or 6 people at the table, we started out with two orbits of each game, figuring that more hands in succession of each type would help the less experienced players learn the individual games. After a double orbit for each game, we started playing one orbit each.
What do you do, what works particularly well, and what changes are you considering, if any? |

Would you still want double laps if the table were full (8 players), or is it just a short-handed preference? |

i usually freeze the button during the stud games and advance it for holdem & omaha |

Every player gets the button an equal amount of times in the HE and Omaha rounds. The button gets locked during the stud games, then restarts where it would as if the stud games never happened.
If you go with a timed schedule, locking the button is less important since the number of hands might vary per game. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
