Chips: 551 | | | Re: Chips in a Stack In a cash game? It doesn't really matter as long as you're not always making change. If I'm making change every 3 or 4 hands, it's time for the host to invest in some more low denomination chips. |

Chips: 111 | | | Re: Chips in a Stack I give out 80 to 100 chips per player for a cash game. I would say at least couple of stacks (40) to avoid delays due to making changes all the time. |

Biggest reason to have lots of chips per player is that there will be lots of action. Lot better to have 100 $1's than to have smaller amount of chips composing of $1, $5, $25 equal to $100. If a player have only stack of less than 20, he will tend to tighter up. |

Chips: 292 | | | Re: Chips in a Stack In a tournament, 20 to 30 would be okay as you're going to colour-up and probably have a lot of players anyways. In a cash game, at a casino with $2 cheques, a buy-in of $100 gives someone two stacks of $2's and a stack of $1's for 60 chips... I think that's about right. If no $2's exist, a rack of $1's.

Chips: 2,890 | | | Re: Chips in a Stack I like lots of chips on the table, but with the hope that most of the players manage their stacks reasonably well. Depends on the game. 41-50 works well for our games. |
