Anyone have any idea of ratio between bluff at a low stake game (below 4/ vs hi stake game (say above (10/20)?
i would guess the numbers would be the same. people who play 4/8 play that limit because that's all they can afford to play. people who play 10/20 play that limit cause they can afford to. so the betting is the same. its just diffrent numbers/values on the chips.
bluffing ration should be the same i would guess.

One reason a 4/8 player can't build a roll to play 10/20 is skill. You can't bluff a donkey and there are simply more lesser skilled players at 4/8. I have no idea about numbers though.
i think it's also a matter of max buyin caps/stack sizes and not only of the blinds (for NL games).
edit:
like the hand at HSP were Phil Ivey laid down kings vs Brad Booth. a move like that maybe wouldn't work against a 50-100k stack.
but mr. brad booth would have never made that move if mr phil ivey only had 50-100K stack. that whole hand was already played out in brads head way before it even got to him when phil ivey made the initial raise.

that's not necessarly true. alot of good players play the 4/8 game cause that's all that's available to them. i know of a few players who don't have a large bankroll and they play the 3-6 and 4-8 game and are very good. actually they are better in the 4-8 game then they are at the 10-20 game. they build a bankroll and move up to the 10-20 game and loose it all. then they come back to the 4-8 game and do it all over again.
I agree that there are good players at the lower level but the percentage of good players to bad players tend to increase as the stakes get higher. I would think that there are players at the lower level that are better than many that play at the higher stakes.
I don't agree with this at all. If you can't beat the bad how do you beat the good?
