Tiki Dealer Buttons - Clearance

Summary:

We have a couple hundred Tiki dealer buttons that are not up to our standards so we are offering to ChipTalk.net members for below cost - $0.80/button.

Details:

A few months ago I was approached with some Tiki dealer button artwork. I thought the artwork looked great so I bought the exclusive rights to the artwork from the artist and then had a few hundred buttons printed up. Unfortunately, even though I thought the artwork was a bit dark I did not look at any prototypes before having these buttons printed. When they arrived I wasn't exactly thrilled with them so they have just been sitting around on a shelf.

The problem is that they are very dark. The picture below is a little better than the buttons actually appear in person, especially compared to viewing in a dim-lit room (such as in many rooms for poker games). I was trying to correct the colors and ended up making this picture lighter. Maybe someone can take a more representative picture once they receive their own.

Also, I have found that black dealer buttons show scratches and wear-and-tear much more than white/off-white dealer buttons. All of these buttons are unused, but they may appear used due to the marks on the surface.

I do not plan on having any more of these printed so I decided to offer these buttons to ChipTalk members for below cost. These do not represent the quality that I like to portray.

*This image appears lighter in color than in person

These buttons are $0.80 each. Shipping within the US or Canada is $2.50 for up to five buttons (First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation in the US, Air Mail to Canada). If you want more than five email brpropoker@gmail.com and ask for a quote. Also email if you want these shipped outside of the US or Canada.

EDIT: After spending a half hour trying to get a Checkout Button to work, it worked perfectly when I previewed the post but then it did not work when I finalized the post. So, I quickly set this page up:

Hmmm . . . Thanks for the heads up. I was rushing to get that page up as soon as I saw there was a problem with the post.

Order received, buttons will be in the mail tomorrow

Re: Tiki Dealer Buttons - Clearance

I got mine yesterday. As stated in the OP they are a bit darker than the pics show but I think they look good. I probably won't be able to use them as dealer buttons since my table has dark cloth. My players are also used to the white ones anyway and probably won't like them as DBs.

I got them to use as card protectors.
Can't beat the price either.

Thanks

Thanks for letting us know they arrived. I tried to be as honest as I could in the OP - maybe too honest

If anyone wants to try taking better photos please go ahead and post them here.

I think your description is right on. They are only slightly darker than your pics. I like them.

I took some pics but my photog skills suck. The flash washed them out a bit so you still can't get a true idea of what they look like in person but I tried
Here they are. Oh, BTW, having them on my table they look fine. They stand out better than I thought they would. I'm going to try them as DBs at my next game and see what everyone thinks.

Thanks for the pics! I think I need to get better lighting in my office Everything looks darker to me when I am sitting at my computer in the office - notice my critiques of the Sun-Fly competition prototypes.

No you dont, well maybe you do. What I'm trying to say is open a curtain or take some pictures by the window. Natural light is by far the best for taking pic's. Wait for a sunny day, and dont place the chips in direct sunlight.

Also remember to use the auto white balance on your camera, if you have different modes then macro is great for close ups (small flower icon). Taking shot's early in the day will result in pictures with a slight blue tinge, later in the day will give you a slight red tinge.

Its much easier to get good shots that people realize. Indoor lighting can be so harsh and leads to washed out yellow looking shots.

I'm not an expert but it's what I have learned and really helps.

Nice dealer buttons.
