Ultimate ebay Find!

http://cgi.ebay.com/1000-Prime-Vinta...QQcmdZViewItem

These look amazing, great Buy it Now price too. Someone will gobble these up I bet. They're certainly old, as they feature the "H" mold.

Sorry but they do nothing for me. And they seem very dirty.

I vote for not posting "ebay finds" anymore.

I love finding something i want then coming to chip talk and finding someone spamming it all over the place.

1000 chips for $350 is a nice deal, but they spelled Pat backward. Or does it mean.......

TAP = Take A Pill ?

TAP = Taxpayer Assets Project ?

TAP = The Amazing Pudding (Pink Floyd fanzine)

TAP = Theta Alpha Psi (theatre honors fraternity)

Wow. I posted this in a valid space, and brought some attention to an auction that would otherwise be difficult to find (as you'd have to sort through 1000's of auctions) so others could enjoy. As for "spamming" (which this isn't, by definition), I can post anything auction related in this "Auction Link" forum.
If you don't like it, use Buy It Now and stop whining. You'd still be getting a tremendous deal.

That does seem like a pretty good deal for clay chips their appearance strikes you. Nice case too.

That will be next to impossible to enforce KYBill, and that is assuming everyone wanted to restrict posting ebay links.

The same thing happens to me on a few motorcycle forums; I am watching a specific part that has gone under the radar and I am excited about grabbing it for cheap, then on the forum someone posts up. The next day a bunch of idiots have placed bids (when buying, I hate people who bid with days left in the auction, it just drives the price up but of course when selling I love it) and a great deal turns into a crazy bidding frenzy that results in the item being sold for more than it is worth.

Sigh, this seems like such a pointless argument... But, in the spirit of community I feel I need to defend myself...

I objected to your original comment on "Spamming". I'm not trying to show off any skills (especially ebay ones) or create a spammed thread. If anything, I was merely bringing up an auction that I thought fellow Chiptalk members might be interested in. Obviously you were interested in it, and felt that you had to criticize my posting of the link. However, it was posted in exactly the right place, and didn't break any rules regarding the forum.

Please don't complain about postings in a (basically) un-moderated forum about chips you wanted to buy. You still could by the way, nobody has bid on them, and the BuyitNow is only $75 more than the starting bid. You would be getting an incredible deal! 1000 antique chips that show little wear and have a cool retro mold. From http://www.antiquegamblingchips.com/...tters.htm#md19 "H" MOLD (H.C.E.)-- 8 H's. H. C. Edwards and Co., NYC. Was a major supplier of Nevada chips, 1940's to 1968. The business was started in the 1920's and was sold and broken up in 1984. Now Bazaar Supply/Berk Trading Co., NY, owns the mold and uses it infrequently, but not for U.S. casinos. I am told that the mold is used today in Europe.........

For the record, here's the link for the definition of spam http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam

Maybe we can be pals if we can agree that this isn't spam!

I just hate to have auctions i am watching (not that i was watching this one) posted on a message board. If people want to find a good deal have them look themselves.
