First ebay Wynn chips?

I don't know if this is the first or not, but 100 $1 Wynn chips for the low low price of $149.95! Linkie

The seller also has other 'great' auctions for dice chips. I don't know why, but this bothers me. Kind of makes me wish the Wynn and other casinos would bash people over the head at the door if they try to escape with a rack of chips.

$149.95 is actually very very cheap compared to some auctions that i have seen on ebay for the exact same chips... makes me wish i lived closer to vegas...

Re: First ebay Wynn chips?

Yeah, there were some auctions for single chips the very first week it opened. And now some larger sets. In fact there was a combined set of $1 & $5 chips that was around $300.

The price is a 50% premium but not all that bad compared to other real Paulson chips. And only $10 shipping. Spinetti's are some of the better folks around.

I'm sure you mean you want Wynn's to bash people over the head EXCEPT for Chiptalk.net members, of course!

Whenever I'm on a "chip acquisition" trip, I bring along a small plastic shopping bag in my pocket, then put the rack of chips in the bag as I'm walking away from the cage or poker room. No problem getting out the door that way.

I'm sure casinos don't mind you walking their chips out the door. Except for under $1 chips, they are making money especially for the higher value chips.

I've been thinking about this again since I wrote the first post and I guess I'm just bothered by the economics of collecting in general. I'd prefer a system where the Wynn would order extra chips when they first bought there sets and would sell the sub-$1 chips on their website for a 50% premium. I think it's every chip lovers responsibility to take chips out whenever they visit a casino, but getting a full rack for the sole purpose of reselling them just bothers me.
