massive Grand Bahamia set, w/mint $1 and $500 chips
4700 chips for a starting bid of 55c each -- includes 200x mint $1 (very hard to find) plus 30x $500 chips, and includes 4 bird cage carriers and racks. Pretty sure the seller is a CT'er, too.

Another interesting auction. If I somehow won big this weekned, I might even be tempted if the price stays low . . . Let's hope not.

This is the second time they've been listed. First go around had a starting bid of $3K and got no bids.

Who snagged these chips for $0.55 a piece? Dr, did you win big?

Thanks for buying these, whoever you are. Even though I have an idea.

Re: massive Grand Bahamia set, w/mint $1 and $500 chips
That would be me. Not only did I win over the weekend, but I found a couple of other folks locally who promised to help out with the buy.
Even so, I toasted my chip budget badly. I suspect there might be a wife-agro price to pay . . . A $100 here and there paid for with poker winnings is one thing, buying 4,700 higher end chips is a lot over the top.

Just intercept the delivery and hide them under the bed. She'll never know!

Re: massive Grand Bahamia set, w/mint $1 and $500 chips
$2,600 + shipping is hard to hide under the bed. I will not get the cash from the other two guys until they pick their racks (and they were having a hard time with the idea that a $25 chip is worth less than a $5 chip or $1 chip . . .)
Once you spend $2,600+ on poker chips, even if someone else eventually helps pay, you open the door to high end shoes, purses etc.

True that! My Bahamia's opened the door for a $1,400 stand up paddle board with a $225 carbon fiber paddle of course!

I was real close to bidding on these but wasn't sure I would be able to move all the unneeded racks.
