I would LOVE to have a set of 300-400 of these, but I can't afford all 1290 of them at once.

Price seems a bit high, although it's hard to say for sure since they come up for sale so infrequently.

I'd be in for 200 x $25, 188 x $100, and the 12 x $500 of course

Anyone else interested in making this a group buy?

BTW, does anyone know if the seller is a CTer?

I've got quite a few of these chips myself, and they are amazing. That said, the asking price is a bit on the high side. Here's my understanding of current prices, based on sales over the past year:

$500: Ultra-rare, $40-$50 per chip. $480-$600. I know, crazy. I believe Noelsarchs sold a RACK of these in the past couple of years to somebody in Germany.

$100: Somewhat rare, $3-4 per chip. $950-$1250. These are a little easier to find, though they do not come up very often all. I've got two racks myself.

$25: Fairly common, $1.25-$1.50 per chip (maybe less if buying 700+!). I've got five racks of these and sold one fairly recently for $125. $975-$1175.

$5: Less common, $1.25-$1.75, though I'm not crazy about the commemorative mold...it's almost like a mixed set. I much prefer the standard mold. I haven't seen these for sale in a while, but would put them somewhere around the $25s. $250-$325.

On the low end, you're looking at ~$2,650; on the high end ~$3,350. Given the size of the set, I think a price closer to the lower end would be very fair to both parties. I'd be very surprised if they sold for the BIN price.

If a group buy does come up, I'd be interested in a rack of the $100s and one of the $500s (one chip, that is).

I sold all my $500's to both Dr. John (I think) and Holly who is listing this aution.

They are the only two people that I know of that has these in playable quantity.
