eBay (not mine): 258 TH&C $1 hot stamps

These look like custom $1 chips with hot stamped initials. Gray with charcoal edgespots, current bid about a nickel each. Not that I need or want these chips that much, but I suspect I'd be after these chips at that price. I'm sure they aren't going to sell for that price - some one here will fall in love. Condition looks good - consisent with chips bought for private use.

Of course that price won't last, but I'm hoping it doesn't go too terribly high. Those would work perfectly in a set I'm building.

I was thinking 30-40 cents each tops. My bid price would have been less than 20 cents per chip (keeping in mind that I didn't want them that much.)

The chips should be in great condition, but the personalized hot stamp would seem rather undesirable. No doubt you could relabel these chips, but a newish hot stamp means a lot of prep work to get a nice finished product. The chip has no 'used casino chip' value that I know about. All of this made me think the chips has less value than they turned out to have.

Spotted THC chips in good shape will always draw attention, especially in quantity. Good for set-building and re-labeling. Surprised they didn't go for more...
