Paulson Chips or not?

Poker Chips- Paulson ( Set of 200) - eBay (item 250597834565 end time Mar-22-10 17:13:12 PDT)

These chips doesn't have the Paulson mold. Is it really made by paulson or knock offs?

Re: Paulson Chips or not?

Hmm, not to sure if these are legit Pauslon starburst's or not. The hotstamp seems pretty identical to the real one but I'm not sure about that diamond mold also.

Can't judge much from the fact the guy sells other worthy collectable items that appear to be genuine in my opinion, but perhaps if you email him he might give you further insight on what the chips really are? Add to this the fact I am not a judge of fakes is also why I can't comment too much.

Good luck.

Re: Paulson Chips or not?

In my last batch of H&C Starbursts there was one on the Diamond mold. I think EHDodge has it now. So I "think" it could be legit.

He had 500 peach ones up this weekend that were H&C - The listing was very generic something like Blackjack/Poker chips with no mention of Paulson. Looks like that auction ended early.

Re: Paulson Chips or not?

Originally a Jack Todd mold, then transferred to Paulson in the 60's. Legit Paulson chip. Worth scooping. If he had several racks of peach then holy yummy (peach is one of the heaviest Paulson colors). Leadalicious.

Re: Paulson Chips or not?

I bought a few starbursts from rimmerryan and he generously gave me a stack of greens. They are definitely Paulson in composition.

The big issue is that there a ton of spinners. I think it's because there isn't a recess in the middle. I tried flattening a few with poor results.

I was surprised to see those diamond mold chips mixed in with all of the other starbursts that I had gotten... wasn't too sure on their origin either when I had them, but just figured that they came from the Paulson store with all of the other starbursts as well. They are definitely the same make-up as the H&C starbursts IIRC, just not as good overall IMO.

That stinks about not being able to get them flattened.
Good thing they were FREE !!!
