"I have a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis (same as a Ford Crown Victoria... cop cars and taxis). I need $1200 cash, or will consider a trade up or down for any other vehicle(just run it by me).

It has 120k miles showing, but the odometer doesn't work. It starts, runs, stops, and drives good. The A/C is ICE cold and will freeze you out even on a hot day. It has brand new tires, shocks, and brakes. It could use an alignment since it got the new tires and shocks, but it still drives fine, I can just tell it would benefit from a basic front-end alignment ($45). It has fresh oil, and the tranny shifts great. Cruise control works. The glass is all Rain-X'd, and the wipers work. You can haul ass in the rain while everyone else has to slow down. That's why these are used for cop cars: AWESOME car all-around.
The trunk is HUGE. I'm a DJ and have been hauling all my equipment in it (PC monitors, amps, large speakers, etc). You could fit 5 bodies in the trunk, easy. More if they were chopped up.
It needs a radio, the driver's seat is red and the rest of the interior is blue, and the half vinyl top has been peeled off, but it still has the black fiberglass hal-top shell. No one has even noticed that the vinyl is gone yet.

The body is in good shape with only a couple tiny door dings and a scuff here and there, and the paint shines. The car is still not a cream puff due to small stuff like missing center caps on the wheels, dirty carpet, and whatnot. It's dead reliable and will get you anywhere with COLD AC.
I'm a young single guy and just looking for something "cooler"... not sure what I want, but even though this thing is a GREAT car, I'm just not into it, lol. My last car was a BMW 325I, and I loved it but had so sell it to get caught up on bills. I like lots of different cars and motorcycles, so let me know whatcha got.

Welcome to Spain. The majority of the youth here do that. They buy a cheap, 4 cylinder piece of garbage and spend more money on the customization and stereo system than the car, but not a single penny gets spent on upgrading the engine, just installing that retarded adapter in the exhaust. I really don't understand the appeal. Quite frankly, I'd be embarrassed to drive these vehicles. Whatismore, in Spain, it is quite common that they adopt English words to describe relatively modern concepts instead of creating Spanish equivalents e.g. internet. In Spain, they refer to this type of customization as a "tuning", even though it has absolutely nothing to do with optimizing engine performance...

Ugh! That would make me insane. I have one or two of those clowns near where I live and hear them go by every nite. Makes me wish rocket launchers weren't so illegal

Got to be careful, just cause the majority are just loud pea shooters doesn't mean some aren't done right. Don't get me wrong I am a classic muscle guy ( Hence the 79 frame off malibu project that I have with a different power plant obviously), but there are some guys that actually do build them right, and they can be super quick when done right.

Because larger exhaust at the back end reduces the back pressure giving you more power output.

Nah, I just let them be them. Cause I know how a car is supposed to sound, and that ain't like a motorbike. Most of the "ricers" you see arent' tuned anyway so you can usually just go by them when they're crawling from 1-3 out of red. Good 4bangers can get up and go, however my SRT-8 is going to have better top end power left, even if I might have to catch up of the jump the 4banger is good on the 1/4mile, but sucks on an open road.

Some 4bangers can haul though so you gotta be careful. THose are the ones I respect, not the factory Civic with the oversized spoiler and muffler (but still factory rims and rubber). The problem is, like you said, those kids think SOUNDING like a legit Ricer makes them all "Too Faster, Too Furiouser 2: Tokyo Drift, The Revenge" -- legit 4bang owners hate those donks.
