Nice Foxwoods Deck, but WTF
I think this is overpriced, but I was half-contemplating bidding anyway until I saw the shipping charges.
WTF?!?!?! $29 to ship USPS flat rate? Does anybody know this joker? If he lives in CT I'll drive down there and pickup the chips myself.
NEW KEM CASINO CARDS FOXWOODS 2 DECK WPT BRN/GRN SEALED - eBay (item 120241927335 end time Jun-26-09 22:26:35 PDT)
(Edited: Just saw on E-Bay that said joker is in Florida somewhere. Florida is still part of the US, right? We didn't give it back to Ponce de Leon and Spain? 'Cuz I could understand $29 shipping if this were coming from Spain...)

Re: Nice Foxwoods Deck, but WTF
this is the auction of one of our members, " SILKS POKER ROOM". I know it's pretty high shipping, but SILKS loses money on his auctions overall and probably has to recoup somehow.

?????? Why is it ok to mess with the shipping charges because he sells things at a loss? It's his own fault if he does auctions that start at a penny and doesn't cover his cost, "I've lost money in the past so I'm gonna screw the next guy...". IMO he hopes no one sees the shipping charge until it's too late, pretty much the standard for many folks on ebay. There's no way to defend it...especially with that excuse... . Just say it like it is, common ebay ploy to catch people that don't check shipping before they bid.

This. Completely ridiculous. It's not a little high - it's completely ridiculous. No excuse.

Re: Nice Foxwoods Deck, but WTF
i only ship usa. i only accept pay-pal. Payment due within at end of auction. Shipping is free on this auction. I will ship usps priority mail with delivery confirmation. If you pay before 8 am est i will ship same day.
maybe it's a mistake.

Um... the description says it's free shipping if you buy-it-now. I'm going to assume it's just a typo, but I realize that isn't as glamorous (or fun) as jumping down his throat.

Opps...Sorry that obviously was an error. I meant that to be the international rate. Either way I never charge that much for shipping. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Nice Foxwoods Deck, but WTF
Are these still available? I see the auction was pulled. I'd be interested in a set-up if the shipping is gratis.
lemme know,

If you check my other auctions the highest shipping charge I list is $12.50 for a usps flat rate box for domestic shipments. That listing was an error.
I have sold plenty of chips to fellow CT'ers and never charged more standard priority rates based on size and weight of box. Sorry again for the mixup.

Re: Nice Foxwoods Deck, but WTF
Damn it...this fizzled out way too quick without a big blow up...where's the fun in that?
THanks for clearing it up dude. It just seemed a bit crazy to charge $30 for a card set up. Chip set I can understand, though flat rate boxes rock (I've never had an issue with them). I didn't mean to accuse you of losign money the way I said, I was makign a generalization. I really have never dealt with Silks (unless he's really COT- which I never had a problem with either, some did I didnt'), so it was unfair to jump to conclusions...but damn it's fun.
