If extremely rare means the same thing as you can still buy them from the supplier, then yeah they are extremely rare. Seller has zero feedback and doesn't give the breakdown - I'd be wary. The price is definitely good though.

Anyways, it's his opinion, but he's obviously wrong.

I would be willing to bet that the naivete in his listing is because he is a high school student. I grew up near Concord NH, and I believe the syntax of his email is Saint Pauls School. He's probably selling his dads chips so he can buy weed. The young age might explain the zero feedback. Thats my 2 cents, it might be legit, and many bidders might be scared off. I was just home for Easter, otherwise I would have offered to check them out.

weed smokers do not steal their fathers chips and sell them to buy a bag. also people who grew up near Concord NH do not know what naivete means .

They are so rare, only about 150,000 were made and when they are gone well they'll probably make more. But these are RARE in New Hampster!

Good point, that's probably what he meant: "These are extremely rare in my closet... now that I've taken them out of my closet. My table, though, is currently flush with these puppies."

Maybe he's going by the number SOLD/in circulation...not made.

I bought a small tourney set of them which have seen a lot of play in our afternoon office sit-n-go, so maybe I'm sitting on a gold mine!

I suspect he just means "rare on eBay" which is arguably true. The last Noirs I saw was the batch of 1000 that sindread yoinked 20 minutes after it was posted. Before that... not much.
