I wouldn't pay more than $50 for a piece like this but I would put some money up to get one. Some people collect chips because of the history behind the chip and the casino it represents. This stack of chips and the token (which may or may not have been melted together at the time of the fire, it just looks a little off to me and what would a $1 slot token be doing near $500 chips? I regress) represent not only a specific casino, but a specific date and time in a casino's history. I love pieces like this as well as chips incased in concrete from "digs". They are great pieces of history.
This one is expensive but I don't see why one would dismiss it as not a collectable.
Just my $.02.
