Agreed, those look like the Tangiers chips. I think those were nominated in the "ugliest chips" thread.
Ebay is full of sellers who don't know what their item is exactly, or what it's really worth...usually they don't take the time to find out, or in some cases, can't find out so they guess (usually way too high). Or they base the selling price on what they paid (or overpaid) for it.
I can't believe that those chips were ever used for a WSOP event, but it's conceivable that there were some special limited edition chips made, that were sold there (or awarded, perhaps). In that case, it might be hard to put a true value on something like this. As the old guy at the baseball card shop told me once, "It's worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it."
Personally, I'm not sure that I would take those chips at any price unless I knew someone that wanted them. I've got too much worthless junk just taking up space already.
