Didn't someone here say these were stolen from them???

I can't find the thread, but I remember something about a memeber saying that these had been stolen and they were looking for the set. Not 100% sure if these are the chips...maybe someone can help...

Re: Didn't someone here say these were stolen from them???

They said that they were auctioned off, after being ceased by the police, and he wanted to buy them back. Somebody PM'd him saying they found them for him, but last I heard he hadn't replied.

Re: Didn't someone here say these were stolen from them???

I think "confiscated" is a better description than "stolen", at least according to the guy who posted here a few weeks ago. But yes, those are the guy's chips. I wonder if he knows about them?

Re: Didn't someone here say these were stolen from them???

i don't think he does... and i offered the seller a decent amount of $$$ and was willing to bite, but wouldn't accept paypal... only cashier's check or money order.

those chips sure do look pretty nice !!!

Re: Didn't someone here say these were stolen from them???

Something just doesn't sit right with me about the whole situation. Also seems like the seller really wants to get rid of them considering the price and the "make me an offer" comment.

i thought so too, but he puts the "make me an offer" comment in almost all of his auctions... i was more skeptical of sending a check/money order by mail without the security of winning the item through eBay at the least.

he will sell them relatively cheap too...
you want to split it with me tp ???

Re: Didn't someone here say these were stolen from them???

Those had to have been ordered by a CTer to begin with, they've got 4d14, 614 and 6a14 combos. AFAIK, the only ones who could get those were CT members.

Re: Didn't someone here say these were stolen from them???

Ask for escrow if you're going to buy these and the seller won't take paypal, and offer to pay for it. His reaction to that will let you know if he's legit.
